As she grew up, her confidence builds up too, and she herself proposes marriage to Devdas, a very bold move for any girl, even today. With his brooding intensity, good looks, perfect diction and controlled performance, the actor charmed one and all. What can I say? Devdas sat up in astonishment. I rated it 5, not because it is ‘so damn amazing’, but because it lived up to the expectation I had. With SRK’s portrayal, you imagine that Devdas is a stronger character than he actually is in the book.
